At this first level we are focusing on the essential skills and knowledge needed for executing safe take off, flight, landing approach and landing. Most importantly though, we will focus on safety.
In the first part of beginner level students receive general theoretical knowledge on: aerodinamics, meteorology, construction and principles of flight of the paraglider, using, taking care and properly storing the paragliding equipment. In the process of accumulating experience, each student is taught various techniques for controlling the paraglider on the ground, during take off, in the air and while landing. Students execute a number of short flights from a training hill in order to get some flying experience and become familiar with controlling the canopy.
In the second part of this level, students should be ready to perform their first solo altitude flights at an altitude of 400-500 meters above ground. During these flights you can taste and enjoy the freedom of free flight, the beautiful scenery and the rush of being high in the air.
Prior to each flight, students are briefed on the tasks and exercises to be performed. This is standard practice on this and all subsequent levels of the course.
Constant radio contact with the instructor is maintained at all times at all levels of the courses in order for each student to receive directions and guidance in flight.
